Family Business Venture

Dallin is the man with the plan...I am the "money"...Missy is the manager...we opened Below Zero in Middleton, ID.   It is a shaved ice stand, and yesterday was opening day.  Other than giving back a $20 and a $5 in change for a $20, everything went smoothly!  (Honest lady returned the $20!!)

We LOVE The Strike!

Friday night was such a treat for us...Reed's cousin's son: Myles Lawrence performs in a band called The Strike ( Based in Provo, UT; they won a national contest last year to perform with Kelly Clarkson at Stadium of Fire on the Fourth of July. ) and they appeared in Boise at the Linen Building.  You can see them on YouTube, but in person is  a whole other experience!!  Great music, superb performers!!
                                          Dallin and Myles...cousins...am I photobombing?
                                         Eden and Myles...cousins...
                                           Myles plays saxophone, sings backup...
rocks the house!!  So much fun!!!
I looked around and realized I was the oldest woman in the room, but I can still rock when I want to!

Brooklyn's Showcase

Brooklyn and her partner danced a "showcase" number to "Happy"...I have no idea how to get the video onto this blog, so these are stills I took before the performance.  They danced a jive, and the showcase had a tropical theme, thus, the dress with a floral pattern, and the hair in "victory rolls" which Eden achieved using toilet paper rolls!
Oops, don't know how man on left got in the picture!
                                          Intermission free dance...a little warm-up

Baseball Champs!

It has been a while since we celebrated a baseball championship around here!  Cache is starting the next phase of our tradition...their season wasn't spectacular...several losses, but when the tournament started, his team rallied!  At the championship game, the other team took a 4-2 lead after 2 innings.  The "Rangers" rallied again and prevailed.
                                        Cache at the plate...
                                      talkin' strategy...
                                           yea team!
